Electrox Makes Two Appointments to US Management Team
Electrox’s US operation has been strengthened with two new appointments to its senior management team.
Keith (Griff) Griffiths has been promoted to US Operations Manager whilst Mike Rauch has taken position as Sales Manager for the US South East Region.
Griff, who has more than 25 years experience in the laser industry, first joined Electrox in 1995 as Senior Service Engineer. He was then promoted to Principal Service Engineer, where he was responsible for overseeing the installation, service, technical support, applications and training in the US.
In his new role as US Operations Manager, Griff, who is based in Kalamazoo in Michigan, will be responsible for helping to grow the Electrox brand in the US by developing both new and existing markets. He will also oversee the US operations and servicing divisions.
Griff said: “This is an exciting time for Electrox – we have a very strong product offering and I will be working with our sales team to expand our customer base within existing market sectors as well as looking to enter new ones.”
Mike, who rejoins Electrox after spending time as an independent consultant, has more than 25 years experience encompassing a wide variety of roles from sales to research and development.
He is now looking forward to helping to grow the Electrox brand and believes that a reputation for good build quality and a wide variety of applications make Electrox lasers the perfect products to sell. He said: “Electrox is extremely well thought of in the US. The company has a strong product range and a reputation for putting the customer first. All in all, I’m extremely pleased to be back.”
“I am delighted to announce Griff’s promotion and welcome Mike back to Electrox. They both have a good understanding of our product and service offering as well as bringing to their roles a wealth of industry knowledge that will help to drive our business forward in the US,” explained Paul Mincher, General Manager of Electrox.
The company’s strategic location in Kalamazoo, Michigan, provides good air and road links allowing the company’s expert team of service engineers to be on hand to provide technical, servicing and maintenance support to the whole of the US. It also allows the company to provide timely delivery of any spare parts required and offer a range of maintenance schedules designed to ensure that its laser systems are reliable, thus minimising downtime due to repairs.
Electrox also offers Service Contracts which ensure the equipment is maintained by experienced engineers using only approved parts.
“We work hard to put our customers at the heart of our operation and this is reflected in our decision to open our US headquarters in Michigan. Our engineers can quickly travel to our customers wherever they are thus providing a fast and effective maintenance and repair service,” added Paul.
Electrox was founded 30 years ago and is part of the world-renowned 600 Group PLC. The company manufactures a wide variety of fully-integrated laser marking solutions, which use an intense beam of light to permanently engrave or mark a material’s surface. Its systems are fast, extremely easy to use and very cost effective, because there are no components to wear or run out.
Electrox lasers offer a wide range of applications including ablation and coating removal such as for automotive displays, coding for traceability and identification, authentication and labelling and for decorative design and personalisation.
